Hugh Berridge - Senior Partner
Hugh Berridge heads the commercial team at Clapham & Collinge. Qualifying
in 1980, in the early part of his career he undertook litigation work and was a
member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel. Now he exclusively deals
with commercial work, handling property, landlord and tenant, and business
sale and purchase transactions. He also advises on employment, partnership
and company matters.

Michael Rundle - Consultant Solicitor
Michael qualified as a Solicitor in 1972. He has an established client base in

Philip Nicholson – Consultant Solicitor
Philip qualified in 1974. After some years specialising in professional indemnity
work in London, Philip moved back to Norfolk in 1983 and has since
concentrated on private client and commercial work with a particular emphasis
on property matters, commercial agreements and sales and purchases of
business.

Rebecca Irwin - Solicitor
Rebecca studied Law at the University of Kent and went on to obtain a Master
of Laws in Criminal Justice. Rebecca trained with a firm in Dover and then spent
one year practising in the commercial property department at Kingsfords in
Ashford, Kent. She has recently joined Clapham and Collinge and specialises
in all areas of commercial property including new leases, assignments of leases,
sales and purchases of public houses, asset sale and purchase transactions.
Rebecca’s interests are foreign travel, reading and cooking.

James Milk – Assistant Solicitor
James qualified as an Assistant Solicitor in April 2007. He initially joined the
firm in June 2003 as a Conveyancing assistant after studying law at Leicester.
He then completed the Legal Practice Course with a commendation and returned
to start a training contract in July 2005. He currently works in the Commercial
Property department and this is the area he would like to specialise in.

Jonathan Bolton – Partner
Jonathan is responsible for the Residential Conveyancing Department. He spent
over 20 years working as a lawyer in commerce with senior management
responsibilities complemented by a MBA degree from City University Business
School.
Prior to joining us he also spent several years as a partner in a North Suffolk firm.
Married with 4 grown up children, Jonathan lives near Loddon and has interests
in sailing on the Norfolk Broads and beyond.

Margaret Masterson - Consultant
Margaret Masterson, Senior Partner of the firm until her retirement from the
Partnership in 2002, now works with us in a Consultancy role dealing mainly
with property based issues for the various departments.
She joined Clapham and Collinge in 1976. Throughout her 30 years with firm she
has dealt with most areas of the law even matrimonial work and personal injury
claims. In her last 15 years of full time practice she headed the Property
department dealing with both domestic and commercial property and wills.
She also practises as one of the few Notary Publics in the area. She lists her
hobbies (in no particular order) as bridge, sailing, tennis and reading - all of
which she can now enjoy more of in her semi retired state!

Helen Woodcock – Legal Executive
Helen qualified as a Legal Executive in February 2008. She initially joined the firm in September 2000 as a conveyancing secretary and is now a fee earner in the residential conveyancing department dealing with all aspects of freehold and leasehold transactions.

Toni Potter - Associate Solicitor
Toni studied Law at the University of East Anglia and then went on to complete
the Legal Practice Course at Chelmsford where she obtained a distinction.
Toni trained with a local firm and qualified as a Solicitor in 2005. She joined
Clapham and Collinge in July 2006 where she now specialises in residential
conveyancing.

Nicola Goatcher – Trainee Solicitor
Nicola graduated from Bournemouth University in 2001 with an LLB Hons degree
in Business Law. She went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the
College of Law in Guildford, which she passed in 2006. Nicola
joined Clapham & Collinge in December 2006 and is now training in the family law and litigation department.

Chris King – Partner
Chris joined Clapham & Collinge in 1984 after a career in industry and now heads
the Private Client Department. He deals with wills, tax, tax planning and trusts
and has a particular interest in the law applicable to Charities. Another major
interest is in the various areas of law applying to the elderly.
Chris is married with two grown-up children. Out of the office his interests are
railways, bird-watching, travelling and listening to classical music.

Ben Lowe - Partner
Ben qualified as a Solicitor in 2000 and joined the firm as a partner in the Private
Client department from Partridge & Wilson in October 2007.
Having started his career with a broad range of private and commercial work,
Ben now specialises in all aspects of private client services including drafting
and interpreting Wills, dealing with estates and trusts of all kinds and sizes, tax
planning and advising on claims against estates by disappointed beneficiaries.
Ben is married with two children. Outside of the office, he is an active member
of the Norwich musical scene. He has led the Norwich Philharmonic Society
orchestra for many years and plays regularly in other local orchestral and
chamber groups. Ben has currently unfulfilled ambitions to buy a boat and learn
to sail properly.

Karen Callender – Legal Executive
Karen joined Clapham & Collinge in 2005. A graduate and Legal Executive
qualifying in 1997 Karen specializes in Wills, Powers of Attorney, Court of

Tammy Parnell - Partner
Tammy Parnell is a Partner in the Family Law Department. She joined Clapham
& Collinge in 2003 and became a Partner in August 2006. Having qualified with
a distinction in the Legal Practice Course she is a member of Resolution
(formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association). She specialises in family law,
cohabitation, matrimonial and children cases. In particular resolving issues
relating to finances arising out of separation and divorce. She also advises on
contact and residence of children including those with an overseas element
and non-molestation injunctions and occupation orders. Tammy is married with

Kristian Jones - Solicitor
Kristian read law at Sheffield Hallam University before qualifying as a Barrister
at the Inn’s of Court School of Law, London. Kristian was called to the Bar in
March 2001. In 2004 he qualified as a solicitor, practicing in the area of family
and employment law both locally and more recently in London. Kristian, having
returned to Norfolk has now joined the Civil Litigation department of Clapham
and Collinge, and this is the area of law he now wishes to specialise in.

Fiona Harper - Litigation Executive
Fiona joined Clapham & Collinge in September 2007 to develop the Personal Injury
and Litigation Department and brings with her 15 years experience.
Fiona spent the last 6 years specialising in Personal Injury, Medical Negligence
and Litigation. Prior to this she spent a number of years working in private practice
specialising in the same areas of law. Fiona has also previously worked for a large
insurance company dealing with defendant personal injury claims and sees this
as a new service to provide to our old and new clients.
Fiona comes from Norfolk and enjoys wine tasting, good food and a good book.
She is also a keen follower of tennis and enjoys speaking French and German.

Laura Gray - Assistant Solicitor
Laura joined the firm in July 2004 as a conveyancing assistant after
studying law at Derby. She completed the Legal Practice Course with a
distinction and returned to complete her training contract with the firm.
Laura is now qualified as an Assistant Solicitor and is working in the matrimonial
and family law department as this is the area she would like to specialise in.
Her Interests include swimming and supporting / watching Norwich City Football Club.
