From 25th May 2018, Europe's data protection rules will undergo their biggest changes in two decades. GDPR will replace the current Data Protection Act and introduce new requirements for all sectors. Charities, alongside businesses and public bodies, will have to follow these legal requirements or face the risk of penalties for non-compliance, which is why it is essential that charities and their trustees are prepared for GDPR.
Our GDPR for Charities training session will provide an essential toolkit on preparing for GDPR and will highlight key areas to review within the day-to-day running of your charity to ensure compliance.
Included will be:
- GDPR basics
- Data processing activities
- IT security
- Marketing and fundraising
- Policies and governance
- GDPR toolkit for Charities
This training session is aimed at senior management, trustees, volunteers and all those involved in charities. The session will start at 9.30am and finish at 12.00pm.
