We recently concluded our Spring series of legal briefings on 'Family disputes: Where there's a Will…', which addressed many of the factors contributing to the rise of Contentious Probate and how we can assist in the event of a challenge.
Throughout March and April, our roadshow of legal briefings took place in Norwich, North Walsham, Fakenham, Brooke and Sheringham. These briefings updated delegates on recent cases in the press and examined many of the issues surrounding Wills, Probate and the administration of estates, and how and by whom they can be challenged.
During the briefing, Philip Lumb (Partner and Commercial Solicitor), Lauren Abbs (Wills, Trusts and Probate Solicitor) and Tammy Parnell (Partner and Contentious Probate and Trusts Solicitor) highlighted several points including reasons why probate claims have increased, common signs of elderly abuse, how to minimise potential issues occurring when making a Will and how we can assist in the event of a challenge using case studies as illustrations.
