Shortlisted for the Norfolk & Norwich Law Society Excellence Awards 2017

We are absolutely delighted that Gaynor Hay and Joseph Keeping have been shortlisted for the Norfolk & Norwich Law Society Excellence Awards 2017, Gaynor for Junior Lawyer and Joseph for Trainee Lawyer of the Year.

Gaynor completed the latter part of her training contract with Clapham & Collinge and qualified as a solicitor on 15th February 2016. Gaynor qualified into the Conveyancing Department and initially worked out of the Norwich office, before transferring to our newly opened North Walsham office as she had previously lived in North Walsham and knew the area well. Straight away she could foresee the potential for rapid growth in the area.

Mark Kermez, Managing Partner at Clapham & Collinge said: ''Gaynor stands out from other practitioners in respect to her commitment in providing an exceptional service to clients, which is evidenced by the feedback received. She impresses clients and agents alike with her extensive expertise, thorough explanations, her commitment to their needs and her outstanding delivery.''

Joe joined Clapham & Collinge in January 2014 as a paralegal, and it was immediately obvious that Joe possessed the skills and nature that often takes young lawyers a few years to hone. Joe has endeared himself to clients and regularly receives exceptional client feedback: ''Thank you for the efficient way you have handled it. On top of the sale of my mother's house last December and her move into residential care it has been a difficult time for the family. Your clear explanations and swift responses made life a bit easier for us all.''

Lin Whitehead, Partner and Head of Private Client said ''Since becoming a trainee at the firm Joe has gone from strength to strength professionally and already stands out from his peers in respect to his commitment to providing an excellent service to clients and a sympathetic professional ear, which is often needed in the practice area he has chosen to qualify in, Wills, Trusts and Estates. It is Joe's ability to combine a deep and genuine level of client empathy and understanding with his considerable technical ability which sets him apart.''

The winner of the Trainee Lawyer of the Year and Junior Lawyer of the Year will be announced at the Annual Dinner on 21 September 2017.
