The Business of Charities Legal Briefing 2017

The Business of Charities Legal Briefing 2017

On Thursday 9th February, Clapham & Collinge Solicitors held a legal briefing on 'The Business of Charities: Solutions to Success' which addressed many of the important legal issues faced by charities, charitable trusts, associations and not-for-profit organisations.

With over 80 delegates in attendance, the briefing steered delegates through the legal developments in the charity sector and provided practical advice to help charities, charitable trusts, associations and not-for-profit organisations run smoothly, efficiently and legally.

During the briefing, Neale Grearson (Partner and Head of Charities Department), Hugh Berridge (Senior Partner and Commercial Property Solicitor), Jade Tinney (Commercial Solicitor) and Michael Olmer (Consultant Commercial Solicitor) covered a range of legal considerations including the importance of Wills and charitable legacies, advice on ownership and disposal of land, collaboration, mergers, risk management and liability of trustees.
