A record-breaking Lunch on the Green 2018!

A record-breaking Lunch on the Green 2018!

On Wednesday 11th July, we hosted our annual summer networking and fundraising event 'Lunch on the Green' in support of Break Charity. Billed as the highlight of the Norwich networking calendar, this year's event was our biggest to date with 43 businesses exhibiting and over 300 attendees on the day, raising £7971 for Break Charity.

Organised by Clapham & Collinge's Marketing team, this year's event featured many summer-themed activities and attractions including garden games, a selection of wines from Tanja Wright of TFW Fine Wines, delicious canapés from The Feed, summer mocktails from 7 Surrey Street, wine tasting with Eastern Financial Consultants, roulette with Kings & Queens Fun Casinos, a 50km bike challenge with Dynamic Fitness, 'Whack the Breakaway Ferret' with Breakaway Networking Group, beautiful floral displays from Libby Ferris Flowers and live music from Bill Downs, Lydia Lee, a fantastic young busking trio and the Manhattan Husk Duo.

Louis Hilldrup-Boorman, Marketing Manager at Clapham & Collinge said: ''This year we celebrated Lunch on the Green's 10th anniversary, which coincides with Break's 50th anniversary, so we're absolutely delighted to have raised £7971 for Break Charity which is the highest amount raised from a Lunch on the Green event so far. With lots of local businesses, clients and professional contacts coming together to support our annual fundraiser, the event was thoroughly enjoyed by all and according to the feedback we have received from exhibitors and guests, we can consider it a huge success! Lunch on the Green is a massive project to undertake so I cannot thank my colleagues enough for their support.''

Break provides a diverse range of specialist residential and community based services for vulnerable young people in Norfolk. Their vision is to ensure children, young people and families reach their full potential and shape their own futures in a safe and creative environment.

Sarah Bunn, Senior Fundraising Officer at Break said: ''Lunch on the Green remains, for us, the best summer networking event in Norwich! It's an event we are proud to be a part of and are thrilled that this year, in Break's 50th anniversary year, we have raised almost £8,000 to change young lives. A superb result for a truly superb event!

Our thanks must go to Louis and the team at Clapham & Collinge for their continued support and excellent organisation. It is a pleasure to work with local Norfolk organisations who care about supporting their local community; helping us to help the vulnerable children, young people and families living in our county – giving them a break for a better future.''

This was the second year we have exhibited and once again we thoroughly enjoyed the day and met and spoke with some lovely people.
