Clapham & Collinge takes legal leap for Charity

On Sunday 24th September, 3 Clapham & Collinge staff members took part in an exhilarating 13,000ft skydive in support of Leeway Domestic Violence and Abuse Services. Louis Hilldrup-Boorman (Marketing Manager), Fiona Grosse (Family Law Secretary) and Sophie Grosse (Norwich office Receptionist) took part in the tandem skydive at Beccles Airfield with UK Parachuting, raising £1283 for Leeway.

Leeway supports over 8,000 adults, children and young people in Norfolk and Waveney each year, providing advice, support and information to any adult or child experiencing domestic abuse. Leeway's range of specialist services includes a telephone helpline, safe refuge accommodation and outreach support in the community.

The Clapham & Collinge team arrived at Beccles Airfield at the crack of dawn accompanied by supporting family members, friends and colleagues. Each skydiver received a thorough health and safety session and a full briefing on what to expect during the jump, before meeting their skydiving instructors and being kitted up in their skydiving gear. There was great support from colleagues, family and friends, with each skydiver receiving a glass of bubbly and a certificate once they had completed their jump. Louis Hilldrup-Boorman, Marketing Manager at Clapham & Collinge said ''The skydive was amazing, totally breath-taking. The weather was on our side, with clear blue skies and very little wind, so the views were incredible and we could see for miles! One of the greatest experiences of my life, even second time around. Leeway charity offers our community a unique, specialised service and it's important to support the delivery of these services in Norfolk. We're extremely proud to have raised £1283 for Leeway.''

Chief Executive of Leeway Domestic Violence and Abuse Services, Mandy Proctor, added: "I would like to thank the team at Clapham & Collinge that jumped for Leeway, and also to everyone that has supported them in their fundraising. They have raised a fantastic amount of money that will enable us to continue to offer high-quality services to those experiencing domestic abuse in Norfolk and Waveney. Clapham & Collinge have always been really supportive of our events and everyone at Leeway really appreciates this."
