In November 2018, Clapham & Collinge Solicitors launched their 2nd annual Charity Lasting Power of Attorney Scheme. As planning for later life professionals, members of Norwich City Dementia Action Alliance and Sheringham Dementia Friendly Community, Clapham & Collinge Solicitors are keen to raise awareness about the legal and financial implications of dementia and highlight the importance of getting your legal documents in place to provide you with peace of mind at a time when it's needed most.
The scheme consisted of a 25% discount on Lasting Power of Attorneys throughout November and a £40 donation per Lasting Power of Attorney appointment, supporting 4 Norfolk based Charities; The Feed, The Benjamin Foundation, North Norfolk Community Transport and North Walsham Dementia Support Group (Cameo Café).
Andrea Smith, Marketing Executive said "We have been delighted by the response to our 2nd charity scheme, it continues to be well received by our clients and it is a pleasure to be able to hand over donations which will enable all the charities to continue with their great work across Norfolk."
Claire Abbs, CEO at North Norfolk Community Transport said "A huge Thank You to Clapham & Collinge Solicitors for including us as a beneficiary in their Lasting Powers of Attorney scheme in November, the money will be put to great use helping people in North Norfolk get out and about in our accessible minibuses".
Chris Elliot, Marketing and Fundraising Manager at The Benjamin Foundation said ''Thanks for your cheque of £300. We were pleased to be chosen as one of the charities benefiting from your Lasting Powers of Attorney scheme in November. This money will help us continue supporting local children, young people and families who need us''.
