Triumphant Charity Lasting Power of Attorney Scheme

Triumphant Charity Lasting Power of Attorney Scheme

Following our first 'Charity Lasting Powers of Attorney Scheme' which took place in November 2017, we are delighted to announce that we raised a total of £1520 to support 4 Norfolk based Charities.

A Lasting Power of Attorney is a legal document that enables people you choose to have legal authority to make certain decisions for you, if you become unable to make them yourself (which may be due to the development of a medical condition such as dementia). A Lasting Power of Attorney gives you the reassurance of knowing your wishes will be respected and it enables people you choose to have access to your finances to make payments on your behalf. The person who is given this authority is known as an 'attorney' and they can manage your finances, or make decisions relating to your health and welfare.

Throughout November we offered a 25% discount on Lasting Powers of Attorneys, with a £40.00 donation per Lasting Power of Attorney appointment to support The Benjamin Foundation, Norfolk & Norwich Association for the Blind, North Walsham Dementia Support Group and Sheringham Little Theatre.

Lin Whitehead, Partner and Head of the Private Client Team at Clapham & Collinge said ''As a firm, we are passionate about raising awareness of the legal and financial implications of dementia. This scheme was a huge success and we are delighted with the uptake of Lasting Powers of Attorneys and the total amount raised for charity''.

Louis Hilldrup-Boorman, Marketing Manager said ''We have a great relationship with all of our chosen charities and we are proud to make a donation of £380 to each beneficiary, which will help them continue to provide important services to our community. We look forward to implementing this scheme once again this November.''

"Thank you on behalf of the Norfolk & Norwich Association for the Blind for this donation which as you know is a huge surprise and will be very beneficial to individuals living with sight loss. We do rely so much on companies and individuals (such as your good self) for invaluable donations and support. Without this we would not be able to deliver services to the beneficiaries so again many thanks - its hugely appreciated" Jeremy Goss, Head of Fundraising at NNAB.

"We are very grateful to Clapham & Collinge for supporting our group with this donation, it will allow us to continue raising awareness of dementia in our community and providing a warm and welcoming place for those living with dementia to come to for support and friendship." Carol (Group Secretary) of North Walsham Dementia Support Group.
