The estate administration process can be complicated and time-consuming. Personal representatives must perform their duties in accordance with the law and the terms of the Will (if any) and can be held personally liable for any mistakes they make. The process will often involve valuing the assets, dealing with inheritance tax, applying to the court for a Grant of Probate or Grant of Representation, collecting the assets and paying any debts and liabilities. It may also be necessary to deal with income and capital gains tax and pay any outstanding liability.
Our probate solicitors can support you through this process by either applying for the Grant of Probate / Grant of Representation or by advising you with regards to the administration of the entire estate.
