Clapham & Collinge Implement Digital Client Onboarding Experience

For many organisations, the coronavirus pandemic has been the most challenging journey in their corporate history, which has brought into sharp focus the need to adapt quickly, adjust work processes and embrace technology. At Clapham & Collinge we are always looking at ways to improve and streamline our work processes to equip our workforce with the necessary tools to work efficiently and enhance the overall client experience.

In this unprecedented environment with increasing restrictions, the traditional 'onboarding' process can be challenging as this requires our legal team to complete due diligence and identification checks by requesting clients to physically attend our offices. We are delighted to announce that we have implemented a new digital product from Legl called Engage so no office visit is necessary, allowing clients to complete our due diligence checks from any mobile or tablet device. This digital client onboarding platform also allows clients to complete source of funds information including sensitive ID/bank information and statements, without it ever leaving secure encrypted UK servers.

Jamie Pearson, Associate and IT Manager at Clapham & Collinge said ''Engage has streamlined our onboarding process immensely making it more efficient and allowing us to complete our due diligence checks in a much shorter space of time. A product such as Engage allows us to operate remotely now and in the future.''

Engage aims to bring firms into the digital-first world by allowing them to serve clients wherever they are, securely and compliantly. "We're thrilled to partner with Clapham & Collinge," said Julia Salasky, Legl's founder and CEO, "Their commitment to leveraging technology in order to give their clients best-in-class experience reinforces their reputation as a market-leading firm."

In addition to digitising traditionally manual processes, Engage enables Clapham & Collinge to meet regulatory requirements while automating client due diligence and source of funds checks, making onboarding a better experience for not only the client, but also the firm. Legl's products are used by many of the UK's top 200 law firms, and have received awards from the FT, Lexis Nexis, Legal Week and the Legal 500.
