Emerald Priscott qualifies into Clapham & Collinge Family Law team

Clapham & Collinge are delighted to announce that trainee solicitor Emerald Priscott has qualified as a Solicitor following the completion of her training contract with the firm. Emerald will join the well-established Family Law team at our Norwich office. Emerald joined the firm in 2015 as a paralegal before starting her training contract.

Neale Grearson, Partner and Head of Family Law said "I am delighted that Emerald, who is an excellent Solicitor is joining the team. Emerald is a face many will already be familiar with as she has supported the firm's busy schedule of events and legal seminars, and is already a member of the local Resolution committee. She is a great example of the commitment we have to recruiting and training high quality people at Clapham & Collinge."

Emerald said "I am delighted to be qualifying as a Solicitor in the Family Team at Clapham and Collinge. It is an exciting time for the team with the expansion of the service areas that we offer. I look forward to continuing to support clients on a whole range of family law issues in the years to come."

Emerald handles a full spectrum of family matters, including divorce and separation, financial relief proceedings, property disputes between unmarried couple as well as dealing with private law children matters including child arrangements. Emerald has a particular interest in dealing with issues surrounding children and fully advocates the Resolution non adversarial approach in her work.

With Emerald moving into the Family Law team, Clapham & Collinge have taken this opportunity to restructure the way in which it delivers Contentious Probate and Family Disputes including Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 claims. These services have now been brought into the wider Family Department supervised by Neale Grearson and provided by Emerald Priscott. Emerald is keen to develop this area of work in collaboration with the company's private client department with the change in internal structure aimed to dovetail with likely future changes to Civil Procedure bringing these types of disputes into greater parallel with Family Procedure and the Family Court.
